I prayed. They won.
Happiness is beating the stinkin’ “New York football” Giants.
In their house. Somewhere, my old man is grinning, ear to ear.
Next up: Arizona.
Is it too early to think about… destiny?

It appears God was on their side.
Naw, not really.
But where there is hope, there’s always a way…
If you want to berate the Giants, that’s fine. I’m not a football fan. Just lay off my Mets this spring.
The NFC Championship Game is a win-win for me.
I grew up in Detroit and have been drawn to college football because we have lacked a proper pro team in Motown. The Lions’ organization is pitiful. If the Cardinals go to the Super Bowl, the Lions become the only non-expansion team to never have made it to the Big Game. (The Saints may count in the tally, but seeing as they were an expansion team the first years of the Super Bowl, I am giving a few years to get going before really being able to make a run.) So with the 0-16 season in the books, a Cardinals Super Bowl appearance would add insult to injury to the Lions. Unfortunately they still won’t wake up and realize that.
On the other hand, I would love to see the Eagles go to the Super Bowl again. They have been my adopted team since moving to the area. I have never given up my loyalty to the Red Wings and Tigers, but it was easy to jump ship when it came to the Eagles. Some fans might complain of the Eagles lack of Super Bowl wins, but Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid have been to more NFC Championship games with the Eagles in the last 8 years then the Lions have in the entire Super Bowl era.
I don’t think the Eagles could beat either the Steelers or Ravens, but I could see them making easy work of the Cardinals. But then again, I expected the Panthers to do just that this past Saturday.
Lay off the Mets? Are you kiddin’ me? It’s genetic! You can’t fight your DNA, man!
As for the Birds getting to play Baltimore or the Stillers, let’s play one game at a time. The Birds make it too “interesting” each week as it is…
Well, now that Michael is one of Donovan’s biographers, we’re going to root for them.
